Words by Siobhan Henderson, Art by Julia St. John
Walk with me.
Let your toes embrace the ground below,
Feel the blades of grass, the ice-cold snow.
Walk with me.
Let the wind rush past your face,
Your rosy cheeks, its ice-cold sting.
Walk with me.
Ground your mind and heart,
Ignore the world’s fast pace, let it fall apart.
Walk with me.
The dizziness will subdue,
Your life can’t function if it’s not with you.
Walk with me.
The path is unknown.
It keeps pushing and pushing, and it’s scary, I know.
But walk with me.
We’ll return to the earth,
But we need to work through the unfamiliar first.
Walk with me.
Find joy in the little things, don’t frown.
At the end of the day, life can slow down.
Will you walk with me?
When all is said and done,
Please don’t forget me when the world has unspun.
